What is Pre-Kindy?
Pre-Kindy is a school readiness program for children who will attend school the following year. To be eligible to attend Blue Hills College (BHC) children need to have turned 4yrs old by March 31st in the year they attend. Our Pre-Kindy classes provide a curriculum-based program for four year olds. Children are exposed to the Early Stage One outcomes that they will be expected to master in Kindergarten through play-based, hands-on and integrated activities
Learning by experience
At Blue Hills College we have a great Pre-Kindy program. Research suggests that the first five years are especially significant in a child’s overall development. Blue Hills College acknowledges this and recognises that learning starts well before the first day of school. Our Pre-Kindy classes provide a curriculum-based program for four year olds.

Our program is based on the NSW Board of Studies syllabus. Children are exposed to the Early Stage One outcomes that they will be expected to master in Kindergarten through play-based, hands-on and integrated activities. Our program is strongly influenced by the new national Early Years Learning Framework - 'Belonging, Being & Becoming'. The program includes a strong literacy and numeracy focus and play based learning experiences. The course has been specifically designed to meet the cognitive, social, emotional and physical development of children in a fun and engaging way. Rich learning experiences and meaningful relationships lay the foundation for each child’s development. The program is delivered by qualified and experienced teachers and staff.

The interactive and responsive structure of BHC’s Pre-Kindy program prepares children for school and for life-long learning. Pre-Kindy classes run Monday to Wednesday from 9am to 3pm throughout the school year.

Enrolment Information
To enrol at Blue Hills College (BHC) all students are required to complete an application for enrolment form which is available from the college office, or from this website (see below). We value families, and believe it is the combined effort of the school and family that completes a child’s education. It is important therefore, that each family meets with the school principal prior to enrolment.
